Hiring: Events Coordinator

Hiring: Events Coordinator

London-based · Volunteer, fixed-term internship (3–6 months) · FORE COMMUNITY / Events

The role

Someone needs to own the planning and delivery of FORE's events, not just show up on the day, but actually run the logistics behind our Activations, Workshops, Webinars, Art shows and 'The FORUM'. This role is that person.

You'll liaise with venues and vendors, build the run-of-show, brief and manage Event Staff on the day, and generally be the point person so Jordan and the wider team aren't tied up doing it themselves.

What you'll do

  1. Plan and coordinate individual events end to end: venue, vendors, run-of-show

  2. Brief and manage Event Staff and Events Content on the day

  3. Handle vendor liaison in line with FORE's community-based, non-contracted talent model

  4. Solve problems as they come up, because they always do

  5. Work across the Q3 calendar and beyond, not just one event at a time

What we're looking for

  1. Organised, calm with logistics, genuinely good under pressure

  2. Comfortable directing other people on the day

  3. Ideally has run something before, even informally, rather than only ever attended

  4. London-based; this role is hands-on and can't be done remotely

Commitment

  1. Minimum 2 hours/week direct contact with the team (weekly meeting)

  2. Self-directed planning work through the week

  3. In-person work days, venue visits and event attendance; this is one of the heavier roles on the events side

What you'll get

This is a structured internship, not a vague "help out when you can" ask. You'll move through four stages: Shadowing, Development, Ownership, and Accreditation, with real responsibility by the end of it, not just busywork at the start.

At the end of your term:

  • A FORE certificate

  • A tailored reference

  • Portfolio work you can actually use

  • A listing in the FORE creative directory

  • Continued FORE community membership

  • Post-programme mentoring

Travel is covered for anything in-person. This role has a genuine path to paid work as our events calendar grows; we'll be upfront with you about where that stands as we go.

How to apply

Send us a short note on who you are, plus an example of an event you've helped plan or run, even informally, and what you'd do if a vendor cancelled the week before.

To apply, please send an email to Info@fore.uk with the ‘Application:[Job title]’ as the subject along with your CV and any evidence of previous work or relevant experience.
